The 2023 Featured Art Form theme ‘Recycled to ARTcycled’. The featured artist was TWAS founder Bonnie Glass.
TWAS founder Bonnie Glass celebrates thirty years as a wearable art maker designing one of a kind collaged clothes.
Sustainability has always been a part of her practise and because of it, she is pleased to say her jackets and coats are now selling on consignment. They have stood the test of time and have now become collectable.
For this show she will be revealing 12 garments that tell a story called “God Refashions a Garment Maker”. The pieces will be completely crafted using people’s castoff materials and clothes to highlight each unique story.
Below are two of them – “Blue” and “Tabernacle Tribute”.

The 2022 Featured Art Form theme ‘Tangled Webs’ explored Weaving and the featured artist was Pat Burns Wendland.
Pat earned the designation of Master Spinner in 1983 from the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners. Weaving was a natural progression for her, then sewing and designing garments from the handwoven and dyed cloth. She graduated from Seneca College receiving high honours in the Dressmaking Certificate Program.
Surface design has become a large part of Pat’s repertoire adding texture to the handwoven cloth. It is always about the cloth first.
