The Theatre of Fashion
The Artist Challenge is an optional friendly contest for vendors participating in The Wearable Art Show.
The artists are challenged to push their creativity to inspiring levels, using their medium to interpret the current show’s theme.
In addition to guest judges, show attendees are invited to vote for their favourite item.
There are 2 awards for the Artist Challenge.
In 2024 Chris Liszak won both the People’s Choice and Judges Choice for her- Fairy Piece with Wings
This year’s challenge is: The Theatre of Fashion
Our artists are invited to respond, in their medium, to a themed challenge, pushing their creativity to inspiring levels. In addition to guest judges, show attendees vote on their favourite item and there are two awards given: The People’s Choice award and The Patron’s Choice award. In 2022 our theme is “Interwoven” – the fusion of different crafting techniques and materials brought together in the wearable. It allows for two (or more) artists to collaborate and create one piece if they wish.
