Thursday, June 18th was a magical afternoon in the Courtyard Cafe at The Windsor Arms Hotel.

It was the 5th Annual CAWEE Tea and a wonderful time was had by all, including our very own Lisa Ridout, Co-Chair of the Steering Committee and David Dunkley, President of The Wearable Art Show, who hosted a table promoting TWAS (The Wearable Art Show) and our upcoming show.

Imagine a room full of ladies dressed to the nines, enjoying one another’s company and a high tea.

Add to that a contest for “best dressed” High Tea Lady with 3 judges (including our own Lisa and David) and delicious chocolate baskets as prizes.
And if that weren’t enough, there was a raffle to which David donated a high-tea-perfect black fascinator and Lisa donated a pair of her elegant sterling silver and black crystal earrings. The raffle raised $975 for CAWEE’s charity

Truly a memorable afternoon for CAWEE, for the women in attendance and the women who will benefit from the funds raised for For David and Lisa and TWAS, it was a chance to strut our stuff, meet new wearable art fans and promote our big event on Saturday, October 17th.

Here is Ellen Samiac, the lucky winner of the fascinator and earrings, shown here with Lisa. Ellen was absolutely thrilled with her “wearable art” winnings.
